Big Orange Blast in Knoxville!

On Sept. 18th we all went to the Big Orange Blast in Knoxville, TN to cheer on the Vols before the big Florida game on Sat. Eric's brother Brandon was kind of in charge of this event, and it was great!!! They had the UT band, Phil Fulmer, Pat Summit and Bruce Pearl there! Then at the end of the night Pat Green played a concert! It was so much fun, but I think Brady had the best time! There was a football field painted on the grass and he ran all over it! Mayfield was giving away free ice cream sandwiches and Brady kept eating them...thanks to Mimi and Aunt Kathy! He ate 4 of them! But the biggest surprise was when we ran into my Papaw! It had been so long since we had seen him and he finally got to meet Anderson! It was so great to see him. Thanks Brandon for putting on a great show!

Swing time!

This was Anderson's first time in the swing and he loved it! His little grin just melts me every time!

Lindsay's 28th birthday! - September 16th

Tuesday, Sept. 16th was my 28th birthday! I was in Knoxville to see Eric's family, so my sweet husband sent me flowers to their house! After dinner we had cake and Brady helped me blow out the candles and celebrate!

Like Father, Like Son!

Brady's 1st day of Preschool!

Brady's 1st day of preschool!
He was so excited to go and walked right in with no problem! He's had a great time ever since and loves his teachers!

Changing everyday!

Since we've been in Birmingham, we've hit some major milestones with the boys. When we lived in Chattanooga, we had a terrible time getting Brady to stay in his bed at night. We moved here and he goes to sleep on his own and stays in bed! And now his naps have gone from 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours! We think he just really likes his room here. Last Sat. (Aug.2) he said "poopoo potty"...so we took him to the potty and he peed! This was the FIRST time he used the potty! And he continued to do so for the next 2 days! Since then it's not been so easy, but at least we know he can do it! For those of you who are parents, you know what a big deal this is!

As far as Anderson goes, the first night we were here, he decided that he didn't want to sleep in his swaddle blanket anymore. SO, now he is sleeping in his crib but unfortunately he still wakes up at night. He has started cereal and sometimes likes it. He also rolled over for the first time! He will be 4 months old on August 15th and he's changing everyday.

Mom's are wonderful!

My mom came to stay with us for 9 days and it was wonderful!!! For those of you that don't know, my family lives in New Hampshire and we only see them a couple of times a year. Hopefully it won't always be this way. I LOVE having my mom come visit and it's evident that Brady and Anderson love her too! This visit she was constantly working, unpacking, moving boxes and helping with the boys. I could not have survived my first week here with Eric gone if she hadn't been here. We would get ready in the morning, go exploring around Birmingham, come home for naptime and unpack boxes, and then we'd be off again!

This is our house!

Also while she was here, we made meals for my freezer! If you haven't ever gone to one of those meal assembly businesses, it is fantastic! You make a bunch of meals in a few hours and put them all in your freezer to pull out anytime for dinner! It has truly changed my life...no more stressing about what to fix for dinner at the last minute. So, we did it ourselves and saved a lot of money! This picture is after we've finished and it is full. She was so sweet to make up several batches of her famous cookies too! So any of you that want some cookies, there's another reason to come visit us in Birmingham!

Thanks, momma, for everything you did for us while you were here! We loved having Nana here to play and stay with us! Can't wait to see you all again!
